…earlier I knew exactl what I wanted to put in my blog post…..but my mind is now as blank as the screen infront of me, great.
So lets talk about…..football! Or is it soccer? I mean, im British, so its football right?….but im in America…so its soccer…? Well which ever one you or I prefer to call it, you’ll have to agree with me that it is one of the best and most enjoyable sports to watch…ok so you may not agree with me on that either. but still, the world cup was a bit of fun right? I watched the final and there was more yellow cards being flashed around then all the other games put together. And now that poor ref is getting it in the neck. Spain scored, sorry Netherlands but you lost with or without the yellow cards. Better luck next time, at least you guys made it to the final! Plus…the Euro cup will be back around soon enough and if your team is so good im sure you’ll get far.
Ok so what else can we talk about….oh heres a great subject that we can all agree on….day time TV! It sucks. No matter what country your from or in, day time TV simply sucks. I remember on the rare occasions I was home and awake back in the UK and TV would contain chat shows, kids cartoons or worse soaps like Hollyoaks or Biker Grove. Mind you, that would be before we got Satelite. Sky its called in the UK. Charter is the cable equivilant here in the USA. Granted it does provide you with many more channels….but most of which contains the same type of shit I’ve already listed. So yey for instead of 2 channels with chat shows….you now have 136 of them, 100 of which are dedicated JUST for that reason. Oh the joys of day time TV.
So today I sat and watched…..prepare yourself for this….Divorce Court, followed by Judge Joe Brown (?) and Judge Alex, and Judge Judy….get the drift on this one? If I had to watch any day time TV, it would be these. Not because they entertain me for the purpose they were made for. But because I love watching stupid people make a fool of themselves on TV and STILL think they were in the right all along. For those who have never seen or heard of these shows, its basically Americans, taking eachother to court over more or less anything, and the Judge hears the cases and awards someone some money from the other person or sometimes doesnt award anything at all.
Heres a prime example of why Id choose to watch these over any other day time TV. Today there as a case of a woman trying to get money for defremation of character. Why? because a gym club owner kicked her out his private club because she got mud on his floor…..its stupid. They went to court over mud. Mud that someone else in the gym apparently saw and swept up. He asked her to take her muddy shoes off, he didnt even ask her to clean the mud up. She refused to take her shoes off, he kicked her out. WTF is these peoples problem. I’ll tell you what….Money. thats all that woman was interested in. Defremation of character my ass. It was one big joke.
