Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…
It snowed last night, we have a whole inch of snow on the ground!
Other parts of America got 8-22 inches of snow and even England got 8 inches, we got 1 inch…..still there is more to come, or so they say.
And im sure if I wanted to I could build a little snowman with the snow outside right now!….But im not going to, because its dark and cold and im quite happy to sit here in the warm house on the computer thinking about building a snowman without actually doing it.
Christmas is just days away now, as we’re having christmas on the 23rd in this house it makes it even closer. Although im excited that christmas is just around the corner I cant help but feel saddened by a few things…
….yes im sad for those homeless people, the starving children in africa and so forth, but whats got me the most sad is that christmas just isnt the same anymore! When I was a child I couldnt sleep on christmas eve, or id try and stay awake. Me and my brother would get up as early as possible to play with all the toys in the stocking and creep down the stairs to get a glimps of the tree with all the presents under it before everyone got up. I remember the excitement, the joy, the laughter. We loose that as adults, the innocents of christmas joy. Instead we turn to alcohol and tv, its just not the same 
Still this is my first christmas in my new home here in the USA and im looking forward to it, to my kid brother and baby sisters excitement and joy at the presents they get.
I cant help but miss my family though, my parents alone with no-one to celebrate. I wonder if they’ll even have the tree up…We’ve sent them some presents, but its not the same as actually being there.
Things go on though, and things change. We will see them next october for my brothers wedding.
For now, I’ll take lots of pictures, even of the snow!
